This decision provides important insight into your property law. Here is what it changes for you.
The situation
No criticism can be made of a Court of Appeal for having ordered the owner of a plot to demolish a structure built by him to extend the dwelling house erected on his plot, since it held that this structure in fact created a second residential building, which was contrary to the development covenants which provided for only one dwelling house with a garden on each plot.
What the law says
This decision confirms the fundamental principles of property law.
