The situation

A driver who, on a wide two-way avenue, drives very close to the left-hand edge of the carriageway and enters a junction entirely on his left, cannot rely on the right of way. The judges ruling on liability for the collision that occurred at the intersection of streets, between a car travelling on its right at a moderate speed and arriving via a road situated on the left, may infer that the driver arriving via the right-hand road but keeping to its left had committed faults which meant he had to bear full liability for the accident and exonerated the other motorist from all liability.
