The parties to a finance lease have the possibility to freely fix the duration of the rental period at the expiry of which the lessee has the option to exercise his purchase option. It is therefore rightly that a court of appeal classified as a finance lease a vehicle rental contract concluded for a duration of four years and providing, in addition to a purchase option for the benefit of the lessee at the end of the lease, intermediate purchase options offering the lessee, from the second year of rental, the possibility, at a price reflecting the rental period elapsed, to terminate the contract early.
