This decision provides important insight into your property law. Here is what it changes for you.
The situation
For the calculation of the compulsory purchase compensation relating to premises that have been the subject of a declaration of insalubrity, the value of the property is assessed, taking into account the uninhabitable nature of the premises and installations subject to compulsory purchase, at the value of the bare land, after deduction of the costs incurred by their demolition. The judgment which refuses the benefit of this compensation to the part of the premises that is for commercial use must be quashed.
What the law says
This decision confirms the fundamental principles of property law.
