If the Bar Council alone has the power to impose a temporary prohibition on practising the profession of a lawyer placed under judicial supervision, and to lift it, the investigating judge derives from the provisions of Article 179 of the Code of Criminal Procedure the power to maintain the judicial supervision measure including such a prohibition (1).
