The situation

According to article L 241 of the Social Security Code, employees or persons working for one or more employers are compulsorily affiliated to social insurance only if there is a contract between them and the employer. Consequently, in the absence of an individual contract between nuns and the association at whose disposal they are placed by their congregation, the affiliation of the persons concerned should take effect only from the date on which their status as employees of the association is established with certainty.
