The situation
The statutory provisions relating to contracts for the construction of individual houses on a proposed plan, where the purchaser uses credit, do not impose on the lender the obligation to verify the truthfulness of the documents produced but only their existence, and the lender is not required to demand the originals of the documents set out in Article L. 231-2 of the Construction and Housing Code, which it must obtain production of pursuant to Article L. 231-10 of that Code.
